Services & pricing

Flat monthly pricing. Quoted on the call, before you sign anything.

Bookkeeping billed by the hour punishes you for having a messy month. Sightline quotes one price for the whole month's work, based on how many accounts you have and how much moves through them. If the business changes shape, we requote — we do not surprise you on an invoice.

Monthly plans

Every plan includes reconciled accounts, a profit & loss, a balance sheet, a cash flow statement, and a short written note on what changed — closed and delivered by the 10th.

Behind on the books

Catch-up and cleanup

Most people who call are behind. That is normal and it is fixable. Catch-up work is quoted per back month once we have looked at the file — typically $275–$450 a month depending on how much needs rebuilding. One-time setup, which covers connecting bank feeds and fixing the chart of accounts, is $400 and is waived if you sign up for twelve months of monthly service.

If the books are far enough gone that starting fresh is cheaper than repairing them, we will tell you that instead of billing you to repair them.

Questions people actually ask

Do you do my taxes?

No. Sightline is a bookkeeping practice, not a CPA firm, and we do not prepare returns or give tax advice. We work alongside your CPA and hand them a clean, reconciled year so their work is cheaper and faster. If you do not have a CPA we are happy to point you at a few locally.

What software do you use?

QuickBooks Online by default, because it is what most local CPAs already read. If you are on Xero or Wave we can work in that instead. If you are on spreadsheets, we will move you onto something proper as part of setup.

Do I have to come to an office?

No. Bank feeds and receipt capture mean almost everything happens remotely, and the monthly package arrives by email. If you would rather hand over paperwork face to face, we cover Montgomery, Conroe, Willis, The Woodlands, Tomball, Spring and Huntsville.

How fast can you start?

Usually within a week of the first call. Catch-up work takes longer and we will give you a date for it before you commit.

Who sees my financial information?

Only the people working on your books. Access to your accounting file and bank feeds is read-only wherever the software allows it, and we never ask for the login you use to move money.
